There is a great website of life-stories told by Bristol people which can be found by clicking on the link below:-

When you go to each story you can choose to play a small, medium or large version or to view the script. If you want to download and share a story you need to click on the link named credit/rights info, where you will see what you need to do.

There are many different stories there and several tell of Disabled people's experiences. This is just a random sample of them.

The stories we found included:-

h. The Misfits in rehearsal for their show 'Forgotten' - This Misfits are a Bristol theatre company. 'Forgotten' is a description of the way people with learning difficulties were mistreated in long stay hospitals, and a look at the rehearsal process as the Misfits Theatre Company prepare for their production on the subject. http://www.bristolstories.org/play.php?story=193
