Organisation 'of' or 'for' according to Bristol City Council Disability Equality Forum Constitution, paragraphs 3.1b and 3.1c (below)

3.1b "An organisation or group of Disabled people who are based within the boundaries of the City of Bristol. An organisation 'of' Disabled people is an organisation or group who work on disability issues whose management or executive body is made up of at least 75% disabled people, and whose voting membership is made up of at least 51% of Disabled people. Both these elements must be part of the organisation's written Constitution (rules), and these must be submitted as part of the organisation's registration to join the forum. Failure to produce the constitution will render an organisation ineligible to be elected as an Advisor, but eligible to vote. The constitution produced must either have been ratified by the organisation's Annual General Meeting at least six months previously, or due to be ratified within the next six months. Where the organisation is a Bristol branch of a national organisation, the written Constitution (rules) used by the Bristol branch must have the two elements contained it it."
"(In principle an organisation of disabled people should be strongly urged to move towards employing a minimum of 75% disabled people within their workforce, as good practice)."

3.1c "An organisation 'for' Disabled people who are based within the City of Bristol boundaries with less than 75% of Disabled people on its management or executive body, or with less than 51% of Disabled people as voting members."
