Getting Involved

The simplest way to get involved with the Forum is to join as a member. As a member you can channel your concerns regarding council policy through the elected Race Advisors or the Development worker who will ensure your views are raised at the Advisors’ meeting and that appropriate action is taken. You will receive the Race Forum newsletter to keep up with the activities of the Forum and have the chance to attend quarterly open meetings which normally focus upon a particular issue relevant to community concerns at the time.
Once a member, if you want to become further involved, you can nominate yourself to become an Advisor. Advisors are elected at the AGM (though can join during the year also if there is space) and on top of attending monthly Race Forum meetings sit on scrutiny commissions and other forums and groups to represent the Race Forum.
