Public toilet campaign
This year the Bristol Women's Forum is campaigning on improving public toilet facilities for women in Bristol. In preparation is has conducted a survey of its membership on women's perspectives on public toilets. It pursued the campaign through a statement to Full Council in December 2006. To date, no further public toilets have been closed and there is now a pilot scheme along White ladies Road for 'sticker in the window' of toilets accessible to the public e.g. from pubs.
An updated booklet showing public conveniences in Bristol has recently been published. To get hold of a copy contact customerservicesnhs@bristol.gov.uk or Bristol City Council Waste Management and Street scene on 0117 922 3838.
