Rape Crisis Centre
Bristol Women's Forum has been pivotal in the quest for a Rape Crisis Centre for Bristol. Following years of involvement in the campaign for a Centre, a statement to Full Council on 4/12/07 secured sustained funding.
Bristol Rape Crisis is a specialist support service for women and girls in Bristol and the surrounding areas, who have experienced any form of sexual violence, at any point in their lives.
Rape Crisis is a feminist organisation which exists to promote the needs of women and girls who have experienced sexual violence. Rape Crisis wants all women and girls to be free from the fear and experience of sexual violence.
Sexual Violence includes: rape, sexual assault, sexual abuse, incest, sexual domestic violence, trafficking and sexual exploitation, female genital mutilation, ritual abuse, forced marriage, crimes in the name of honour, sexual intimidation, coercion or harassment, whether physical or verbal

When you call the helpline your call will be answered by one of our specially trained women volunteers. They are there to listen and support you to talk about whatever is on your mind.
We are here to listen to you and believe you 100%. We will never judge or question you.
We know it can be very hard to take that first step and call; we respect this and will never push you to talking about anything you do not want to.
We are here to help you explore your thoughts, feelings and what options you might have. We can give you information about those options, but we will never tell you what you should do. We will support you to decide for yourself, what is right for you as an individual.
The call will be charged at your usual landline rate, if you have insufficient funds to talk we can call you back
